The Ravine...place of reflection!

Image
I started college. The stress increased as I continued on this path of gaining knowledge. I remembered a frequently visited place of solitude, calmness, and serenity which help put things in perspective. I called it-The Ravine. I will attempt to recreate a picture of it with words. Hopefully, you will envision this sanctuary--The Ravine...      Four weeks of school shuffled by me. Friday night came, my friends had gone while I spent a weekend alone. The dorm room became my prison, and I had to escape.  The autumn night air felt good against my face. I began to wonder around the campus, attentive to every sound and movement the nocturnal world made. Then I stumbled upon the Ravine, a place containing vestigial life as if time had forgotten it. America isn’t a melting pot—it’s a mosaic. And every tile matters.

America isn’t a melting pot—it’s a mosaic. And every tile matters. America’s foundation is layered with the stories of the displaced, the dreamers, the seekers of refuge. Immigrants aren’t “others”—they are origin. They are legacy. And they are current, living proof that this nation is still being shaped—every single day. At Miles Voice, we speak truth with warmth. It is the firewall against tyranny—religious, political, systemic. “We are not a monolith. We a...

“The SAVE Act Isn’t About Security. It’s About Blocking Millions From Voting.” “The SAVE Act Would Break America’s Voting System—By Design” The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act has been reintroduced in the U.S. House of Representatives, and its consequences would be sweeping. The bill requires every American to prove their citizenship in person using original documents. This proof consists primarily of a passport or birth certificate which must be shown before registering to vote. It is also necessary before updating their voter registration. That sound simple, but the reality is stark: More than 140 million U.S. citizens do not have a passport. Up to 69 million women lack a birth certificate that matches their legal name due to marriage‑related name changes. Noncitizen voting is already illegal , extremely rare, and punishable by fines, imprisonment, and deportation. Under the SAVE Act, Americans would no longer be capable of: Register...
